Celebrating Longevity on the International “Future Day” March 1

Since 2012, there has been a global initiative to institute March 1 as an international “Future Day” dedicated to envisioning and working for a better future. We at the International Longevity Alliance propose to make “Longevity” the special theme of that day in this year. In practical terms, this theme can be marked by conducting meetings and study groups in different countries, dedicated to discussions of longevity, on that day. This year, March 1 is Friday, so it may be more convenient for many people to meet in the evening. Even a few people at a meeting would be significant. The effort is minimal, but the motivating and unifying effect for the cause of healthy longevity can be strong. We call you to promote this initiative and help organize such a meeting for healthy longevity in your area on that day! So far, people from 20 countries have expressed their intent to organize pro-longevity meetings. But many more such meetings can be organized everywhere and by everyone! Please take initiative. Express you support of this initiative and your willingness to organize/participate in such meetings in your facebook groups and forums, as a reply to this blog post, and other media and means. Send us some photographs of the meetings in which you participate and a few lines for the global report, to info@longevityalliance.org This can be a very positive and unifying event both for the local and international life-extensionist communities and organizations, and ultimately for the social acceptance of our cause.
