ILA Board + Projects' and Organisations' leaders

If you are among the ILA’s core activists, you may know that a team has been organizing for the purpose of registering ILA as a non-profit organization, to be in better position to look for funding for longevity research, chair certain events and help empower as many people and organisations as possible in projects, trying to put some minimal coordinating energy to make it work.

Promoting longevity research on the 1st of October, the International Day of Older Persons

Promoting longevity research on the 1st of October, the International Day of Older Persons

Last year, activists of the international longevity movement proposed to celebrate the “UN International Day of Older Persons – October 1” as a “Longevity Day” – to emphasize on that day that we need to *promote longevity research for the benefit of older persons*. Events were organized in more than 30 countries, ranging from national conferences to small circle discussions. Let us repeat this outreach this year too! Let us organize events on or around October 1, as a special day, or a week, or even a month dedicated to promotion of “Longevity” and “Longevity Research”!

ILA-LP / Funding a major mouse testing program

The ILA board and key representants of the Longevity Party have met to exchange on visions and priorities. Our goals are fully aligned (strongly extending the human lifespan), our positionning is complementary (advancing against biological aging versus larger sprectrum including mind uploading and immortality) and in every organisation the two positions appear to exist. Among priorities we found an obvious common one: funding a major mouse testing program.
